Obsidian Colored Glasses: An Introspective Look At Black Lives Through Art

Read's ArtSpace Gallery
3/10/17 - 3/31/17

An introspective look through the creative lenses of artist of color and how they see themselves, culture, the world, life and art. In the age of Black Lives Matter, political upheavals, resurging racism, bigotry, mass incarceration, mental health concerns and a multitude of other forces affecting our daily lives, it's important to check in. Check in on who we are, what we are doing, where we are and especially how do we feel through our interpretive views of the world. Includes CAFC members Jahmane and Shanna Melton.

Opening reception: Friday March 10th, 5-10pm
