Pulse Ensemble Theatre’s Internationally-Acclaimed Production, W.E.B. DUBUOIS: A Man For All Times, At The Ferguson Library

Ferguson Library
2:00 PM - 3:15 PM

Pulse Ensemble Theatre’s internationally-acclaimed production of W.E.B. DUBOIS: A Man For All Times will be performed on Saturday, January 20 at 2 p.m. at the Ernest A. DiMattia, Jr. Building of The Ferguson Library. This performance of the critically-acclaimed play, written by Alexa Kelly and featuring Brian Richardson, is co-sponsored by MLK Committee, NAACP and 100 Black Men. A Man For All Times delves into the 95 years of Civil Rights Activist, William Edward Berghardt Du Bois (1868-1963), with passion, humor and respect.

W.E.B. Du Bois overcame the obstacles of poverty and racism to graduate from Harvard University and encourage his fellow African Americans to seize equal rights and political power in the United States. During his struggle, Du Bois developed a socialist philosophy and eventually left the country, renouncing his citizenship. Even so, Du Bois left his nation with an irreplaceable legacy of activism.

“One of the most surprising and insightful evenings I’ve had at the theatre this season.” – David Rothenberg, WBAI Radio, NYC
