The concert will take place on Saturday, January 20, at 8:00 and repeat on Sunday, January 21, at 4:00 pm at the Performing Arts Center at Greenwich High School, Hillside Road off U.S. 1. A free pre-concert lecture will be given one hour before each performance. Adult tickets are $40, students $10. On Saturday January 20 and Sunday, January 21, Elissa Lee Koljonen will perform Korngold's Violin Concerto under the baton of GSO Conductor David Gilbert.  The concert program will begin with  Le Tombeau de Couperin  by Ravel and conclude with Beethoven's Symphony No. 2.

Elissa, an internationally acclaimed violinist, has performed in over one hundred cities around the world.  The Greenwich Symphony Orchestra is proud to present an artist here in Fairfield County who has thrilled audences in Boston's Symphony Halll, Vienna's Musikverein, London's Barbican Centre and Carnegie Hall.

Considered one of the most accomplished violinists of her generation, Miss Koljonen studied with the great Aaron Rosand at the Curtis Institute of Music.
