Ages 4-7

Whether your student has a green thumb or is addicted to Instagram or Pinterest (or both!), terrariums are trending! Let your students build their own terrarium from pot to plant, designing every element along the way. Beginning with the creation of a unique vessel out of clay, to the careful painting and adornment of the pot, creating decorative elements and accessories like small animals and characters, all the way to garden design and selecting your favorite succulents, you student will walk away with their own magical mini-gardens.

Explore the exciting possibilities this summer break with Summer Camp at the Westport Arts Center! Get creative, innovative, and have fun through the arts by choosing from a catalog of unique and contemporary weeklong workshops.

With everything from mixed media open studios to themed courses delving into graffiti, design, and technology, each workshop will include hands-on projects and some will even include a visit from a professional visiting artist.

With options for the traditional art enthusiast and the current pre-teen, this year’s summer line-up is sure to offer something for everyone!

Classes will stimulate your child’s problem solving skills and invigorate their imagination through diverse materials. Your child will practice thinking creatively and critically!  All workshops are BRAND NEW and offer something for everyone ages 4-12.

Morning camps run from 9:30 AM – 12:30 PM and include a snack; Afternoon camps run from 1:30 – 3:30 PM. In instances where morning and afternoon classes feature the same theme, activities and direction will be designed to be age-appropriate.

Registration fees vary based on materials costs.


Cancellation Policy: Cancellations are accepted up to 1 month ahead of the start of a camp with a full refund. Cancellations made less than 1 month, but more than 2 weeks before the start of a camp are accepted with a 50% refund. Cancellations made less than 2 weeks before the start of a camp are not accepted. We cannot issue refunds or credits for missed classes including classes missed due to illness or medical conditions.

Transfer Policy: Students may transfer to a subsequent week of camp of the same or lesser value up to 2 weeks before the start of a camp in the event of a family scheduling change. Transfers are subject to availability.

Individual Day Sign Up:
By default, all registrations are made for the full week of camp. When space is available, parents can register for individual days. If you are interested in registering for an individual day, you may contact the Arts Center by phone no more than 72 hours before the start of camp. Individual day sign ups are on a first-come, first-serve basis and are not eligible for refunds.
